ABOUT ME

When the world was hit with the dreaded 'C-word', like many others I thought about what I wanted from my life.  After graduating from University in 2017 I've been embarking on new experiences trying to find the right fit.   After spending some time in a very grey place (think government buildings), I decided to embark on my new Spanish adventure with the intention of having some breathing space away from the UK and to think about how to develop.

When I was first assigned Prado Del Rey in Spain as my teaching town, I was apprehensive to say the least.  Prado is a small town of around 5,000, it is one of the 'Pueblos Blancos' named so for its picturesque white houses and buildings.  I applied for the programme in the hope I'd be placed in a city, however after living here for a couple of months I see new benefits every day.  I was quite lost to begin with, however with the help of some locals and my fantastic co-ordinator, Ana, I've been able to adapt.  This site will be an outlet for me as well as for those who may find themselves in this part of the world.  I'll be listing recommendations and tips to make the transition easier, I'll provide updates as I make my way through the year.
