Being an English Language Assistant

I applied for the programme for the 2021/22 year through the British Council.  The only requirements to teach in Spain were to be a graduate from a UK university.  In the past I knew I really, really, didn't want to teach, mainly because I was averse to children and school was probably the worst experience for me, which is discussed in my blog, here. 

However, here I am, working with secondary students in Spain.  I've nearly completed the programme, some of my views have definitely been challenged and I know the experience will be a great one for my personal development.
